Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMINATION (IFS) , 2011
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2011 for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service Officers commencing from 9th July 2011.
EXAMINATION NOTICE NO.06/2011-IFoS
Eligibility:
- Age : Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st July, 2011. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree of any recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botonoy, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.
Number of attempts: The maximum number of attempts persmissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as (i) General Category – 4 attempts, (ii) OBC – 7 attempts (iii) SC/ST – No limit
Application Form: The candidates must apply Online at http://www.upsconline.nic.in/ , but candidates from certain area in the country can apply through prescribed format i.e. New Common Application Form offline also, which can be purchased from desgnated Head Post Offices/ Post Office by cash payment of Rs.30/- .
Fee: Rs.100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee).
