Centre for Dna Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) invites applications for the following posts :

1. Technical Officer – II

• Pay Scale : Rs. 9300-34800 Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-)
• Age : 18-30 years
• Qualification : First Class B Sc or equivalent with 8 years relevant experience OR M Sc or equivalent with 4 years relevant experience / B Tech or equivalent with 4 years relevant experience

2. Technical Officer – I

• Pay Scale : Rs. 9300-34800 Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200 (PB-2)
• Age : Between 18-30 years
• Qualification : First Class B Sc or equivalent with 5 years relevant experience OR M Sc or equivalent with 2 years relevant experience

3. Technical Assistant

• Pay Scale : Rs. 9300-34800 Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200 (PB-2)
• Age : Between 18-30 years
• Qualification : First Class B.Sc / B.Tech with three years experience OR Post Graduate in Science / Technology OR PG Diploma in Science / Technology with one year experience

The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad is a premier autonomous R & D Institute under the Societies Act funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, that has been established to provide services and to undertake R & D in DNA Fingerprinting, DNA Diagnostics and other areas of modern biology.

CDFD wishes to fill up under mentioned vacancies under Direct Recruitment basis in Technical Cadres of which Code No 01 is for Core cadre of CDFD and Code No 02 is for COE – II. COE – II is Centre of Excellence project sanctioned to the CDFD of five years duration, which is likely to be extended thereafter.

Educational Qualifications and Experience:
Essential Qualifications:
First Class B.Sc with five years experience OR M.Sc or equivalent with two years experience.
Desirable Experience:
Experience in related areas of Molecular Biology like DNA/RNA extraction from Blood/Tissues, PCR, Electrophoresis, Genotyping, Sequencing and their interpretations
Job Requirements:
To carry out DNA bases tests for patients with Genetic Disorders

2. LABORATORY ASSISTANT (1 Post for COE – II, Unreserved, Code No. 02)
Age limit: 30 years
Pre-revised Scale of Pay: Rs. 3050-75-3950-80-4590
Revised Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200 Plus Grade Pay Rs. 1900 (PB-1)
Essential Qualifications and Experience: Matriculation with ITI Certificate (OR) Diploma in Medical/Pharamaceutical/Lab Technology or equivalent.
