Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata has been established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The Institute is looking for dedicated and committed candidates to fill up the following vacancies.

• Deputy Registrar (Finance & Accounts)- 1 post.
  • Scale of pay: PB-3, Rs. 15,600 – 39,100/- with GP Rs. 7,600/-
  • Qualification and experience: A Post Graduate degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade with specialization in Finance/Accounts or ICWA/CA/MBA (Finance). At least 8 years of experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent in Accounts/Finance/Audit branch in Scientific organizations/Universities/Technological Institutions. Experience/exposure to computer based accounting and audit will be preferred.
• Deputy Librarian – 1 post (Lien bound).
  • Scale of pay: PB-3, Rs. 15,600 – 39,100/- with GP Rs. 5,400/-
  • Qualification and experience: Master’s degree in Library/Information Science/ Documentation in second class and a consistently good academic record. 5 years experience as university Deputy/ Assistant Librarian or College Librarian. Evidence of innovative Library Service and organization of published work.Desirable: Experience in information science/documentation/archives and manuscript keeping, computerization of library services.
• Office Superintendent - 2 posts.
  • Scale of pay: PB-2, Rs. 9,300 – 34,800/- with GP Rs. 4,200/-
  • Qualification and experience: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience in General Administration, preferably in Central Govt. Institutes/Offices, with knowledge of computer office applications and secretarial practices.
• Technical/Scientific Assistant – 1 post.
  • Scale of pay: PB-2, Rs. 9,300 – 34,800/- with GP Rs. 4.200/-
  • Qualification and experience: Masters degree in Science/BE/B.Tech with at least 2 years relevant experience in Laboratory or Research Institute.
• Office Assistant (Multi skill) – 2 posts.
  • Scale of pay: PB-1, Rs. 5,200 – 20,200/- with GP Rs. 2,800/-
  • Qualification and experience: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years’ experience in handling office papers, computers, stores, laboratory equipment and audio visual equipment in reputed Government Institutions/Universities.
